Visualization systems for extreme environments are subject both to high requirements in the area of optimal readability and to stress from adverse temperature ranges.

Such LCD applications in outdoor or rugged computing require highly efficient LCD panels with powerful LED backlights or thermostat-controlled heating elements and protective shutdowns.

Thus the industrial monitors reach temperature ranges from -20° C to +60° C or up to 400% higher brightness of 1000 cd/m².

High-Brightness monitors with strong backlight

Whether as a display on rolling gates in the logistics sector, as a digital signage system for tourism or public areas, as an information terminal, POI or POS system - the high-brightness monitors with strong backlight for better readability are the right solution for difficult lighting conditions.

Display and operating units in the environment of cold rooms or climatic chambers, in the food industry, the chemical industry or also in the steel industry can be easily realized on site - at the production site - with the Wide Temperature Monitors.

At high temperatures, a shut-off device protects the monitor from overheating

In the upper temperature range the circuit protects against internal overheating. The power supply is switched off at +65° C operating temperature to prevent damage to the components. If the temperature drops below +55° C again, the system switches on again.

At low temperatures a heating element increases the operating temperature of the industrial monitor

Temperature sensitive sensors control an internal heating system: At low temperatures, the LCD panel is first preheated to +4° C when switched on before being activated. If the internal temperature drops below 7° C during operation, the heating switches on again if necessary and prevents further cooling.
